Its a ''/mu/ pretends its the best of a genre despite never listening to anything else in the genre'' episode.
Whats her name?

Because nothing else in the genre is album based, same with grime and Boy In Da Corner
dataplex
timeless
selected ambient works
phaedra
>>74699522
>timeless
>>74695512
>>74699492
Skream > Burial
2015 grand champ of this.
>>74699671
Literally no-one on /mu/ thinks this album is the best jazz album
>>74699680
>>74699671
yeah, if anything its the opposite, at least nowadays
>>74699680
>>74700390
>I started browing /mu/ yesterday
Okay.
>>74700425
Burden of proof is on the accuser
Go on, prove your claims.
>>74699671
ive listened to it and it wasnt that good
>>74699510
>genre is album based
this is the same problem here with funk too
>>74701097
There are plenty of classic Funk albums
>>74699522
Timeless is probably the best drum and bass album out there. So much atmosphere in the tracks, and the mixes are soulful. The next best album would be either bad companys inside the machine or current values stay on this planet
>>74701187
>Current values
I can understand why you would rate Bad Company high but seriously Current Values is fucking forgettable on every level, especially his recent outputs. Sounds like everything wrong with techstep nowadays.

Except for all the /jazz/ generals right
>>74701201
Except for all the /metal/ generals right
>>74701309
/mu/ talks about lots of different prog
>>74701201
Yeah honestly this album is being shit on 70% of the time it's brought up
>>74701328
Generals aren't /mu/. If you actually browse them you will see that they often disagree with /mu/.
>>74701328
the /metal/ general is reviled and despised partly because they shit on this album
>>74701360
/mu/ isn't a person
>>74699625
But stream only has one good album. Literally all of the rest of his music is shit, or a demo for a song from his self titled.
>>74701399
Stream*
>>74701168
But that is the best
>>74701423

CV is probably one of the few producers who can make memorable techstep and make it fun. Stuff like ghost rider, shape of space, time rubber, pelham 1234 all have shown how insane his production is. His stuff isn't for everyone, but its incredible
>>74700442
You want proof? Here you go.
*unzips dick*
>>74699492
Burial is something else altogether. He can't be boxed into just garage / two step / dubstep. His style is something way beyond that, which makes Untrue a certain artifact.

how we gonna pretend Antony and the Johnsons didn't do this same shit 12+ years prior?
>>74699522
dataplex isn't even his best work, test pressing and headphonics are better. just a quick look at the raster noton catalogue has much more interesting stuff
