Sound pressure gives you hearing damage. The source is irrelevant. Keep your shit at a reasonable volume and you will never have to worry about it.

I manage my volume well. In general I find headphones are more comfortable (some people complain of headphone fatigue but I find buds wear on me faster) and give me much higher sound quality (good buds aren't worth the money to me because they tend to wear down over time and stop working, i use cheapo buds when mowing the lawn or some shit)
