YOU!
You're not a trend-hopping faggot Fantano watcher or mindless /mu/ drone are you?
Tell me about the last genre you explored? What artists you tried? Did you like it? Any stand out favourites?
lol of course i'm not
last genre i explored was indie
love it
discovered my new favourite band at the moment; Tame Impala
No Wave
James Chance, Swans, Teenage Jesus, DNA, Sonic Youth, Mars, Suicide (they're not really that no wave tho)
I only really liked Swans, James Chance, and DNA
DNA On DNA, Filth, Buy
Fantano is actually really smart when it comes to music. Stop being mad that you are a dumb little asshole with no life outside 4chan.
Math rock and math jazz/fusion. I already liked it quite a bit, this was more of diving in headfirst into the genre - a few highlights: The Dave Brubeck Quartet's Time albums; Mouse on the Keys; jizue; tricot; Bats; You Slut!; Pretend.
I like stoner rock and doom metal, punk and indie are my second and I listen to a little hip hop

I don't fucking "explore" anything since I'm not some scholar, I intuitively find my music and couldn't care less how this works

So rock and rap.

>I listen to whatever p4k rate highly this week

Mariachi versions of Appetite for Destruction?
Charalambides

Shoegaze
My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Slowdive, Starflyer 59, Lift To Experience
Aside from LTE I liked "When You Sleep" but that's about it.
I had an out of body experience while listening to The Texas Jerusalem Crossroads
However I only started a few days ago, I plan to go deeper.
Same as >>74650841 (except I am some scholar)
But I listened to a few standard old prog rock artists (Zappa, Yes, etc) after a thread on /mu/ a few weeks back in which people reeled off their favourites. Wasn't particularly big on them & have since reverted back to my standard prog metal
Have been into a South London hip-hop trio for several years now & thought it was about time I gave grime a proper chance so will be giving a couple of those a go. Starting with GS&P because Stormzy seems pretty accessible & will go deeper from there
Atrocious taste but hey what can you do
i watch fantano and this board fucking sucks
ive been listening to a lot of lesser known shoegaze (at least beyond the entry level bands). i really enjoyed clams' self titled, blaze down his way like the space show by burrrn, and glitter by pasteboard, although it had some pretty shit song titles. consensus is shoegaze good and i want to make it
