Is it possible to explore music without becoming a poseur? Tell me what to do and what to avoid.

yes it is. dig around on your own, on this board and other sources. Let yourself stumble upon music you didn't already know and stick to whatever appeals to you. Don't base your opinion or taste on review scores or even worse the retarded opinions of the dick breaths who frequent this board.

being a poseur is more associated with how you act when it comes to music if you ask me. if you listen to something because it will make you seem a certian way you are a poseur no matter how well known it is
yes? just listen to music?

Fuck other people's opinion on music. Explore without letting what others think affect you.
Listen to music because you like it, not because some critic says it's deep or whatever. Use databases like discogs and RYM to explore genres, labels, and other lists. Be honest with yourself and others, meaning when you talk about music just say what you know, and don't make up stuff to sound cultured. Don't worry about what others think.
