I've been getting into SOAD a lot lately. I have always liked them decently enough but now I'm gong back and listening closely and thinking about the lyrics. I'm really starting to like them. I'll probably binge for a few weeks or months and then move on though. Anyone with me?

I never stopped listening to them System of a Down is awesome, but it feels like a guilty pleasure because Serj is a literal top hat.

Pretty much. I tried to like his self interview but it seemed like he REALLY wanted to have someone interview him, and just did it himself. Was more weird than cool. Maybe I'm wrong though

they're kinda simple. Cool that the mainstream appreciated them though
Nothing groundbreaking and kinda cringe sometimes but they have a few good songs

One of the bands that I listened to in high school that I still respect.
Except for Daron. Fuck that faggot for ruining the band
I liked them as a teenager.
Several years later I tried listening to them. They didn't sound like I remembered.
I mean that quite literally, I guess I had become more receptive to music so I was hearing things I never used to hear, little subtle things.
I fucking hated it. It sounds like garbage to me now, which is a real shame because I really liked them as a kid.

The band was a game changer for underground nu-metal bands, they were really popular at a time that not even Korn was that massive.
