p4k gave it a shitty review and drones hate on it. No clue why p4k didn't like it though, it's their strongest album in terms of both compositional strength and cohesiveness. I guess they just didn't like that Godspeed ditched the gimmicky samples and suite style as their compositional ability matured.

Allelujah is really good; Albanian and Gamelan are both fucking masterpieces that continue on with this style, but the album is hurt by its lack of cohesiveness. Asunder is an excellent single piece, but on account of that it feels lacking in content as an album. I've said it before--if Allelujah and Asunder would have been released as a double album, it would be a contender for Godspeed's greatest album.
