Is it worth dropping dollars to "professionally" record a mixtape? I've written 25 songs that I like, and I could record each one in one or two takes (I would do the mixing myself) OR should I just use a computer and do it cheap?
TLDR is a shitty mixtape worth sounding polished?

Just get a decent microphone and record that shit.
depends on how much cash you're dropping and how much cash you can reasonably spend. honestly, if you're asking the question in the first place it might not be a good idea, anon. im no expert but these days you can competently record and mix it yourself
record it yourself and drop dollars to get it mastered

Thanks guys I really appreciate it. I'm producing some of the tracks myself so I might have to use a few hours in an actual recording booth, but the rest is just vocals... and garageband exists.
