Not sure if this should go in here or in /toy/ since it's technically both a "toy" and an "instrument," but I want to buy one of these Otamatones. The deluxe ones are about $80, but the regular ones are on sale for $25. Should I wait to spend more for the deluxe on this, or should I try out the regular one first and get the deluxe one later on if I like it?
Second opinons please, no bully.

Get the regular one first
i bought it and hated it because it's so small and difficult to play but i just kept it and messed around with it instead of trying to play songs and now i'm sort of getting the hang of it. shitty design though, batteries and no charger, cheap sound and no way to plug into an amp.

The deluxe version has an amp.

i say get the deluxe one because the $25 feels like a cheap toy rather than a fun instrument to jam with or play songs

pleb here, what is this?

It's basically a ribbon controller synth, with the speaker inside an openable mouth to make psuedo-wah wah effects.
Buy a regular one since I wouldn't want to pay $80 for something I'll get bored with after a week of playing it. Still looks like fun though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuA8WBN9uZY
