Does math rock is the popular genre in Japan?
Most of the Math Rock music I got came from them, Exception for tide/edit (Filipino math rock band) and American Football.
Japanese math isn't real math. It's just slightly angular j-rock.

Is Toe not real math rock?
I feel like most of the Japanese math rock artists are more popular outside of Japan

Toe and to some extent Lite excluded.

I think most Japanese culture is appreciated outside the country for some reason.

Nah, there are too many little artists that aren't on bandcamp/barely on soundcloud that we never hear about

also fecking bahamas must have someone stationed in Japan, cause they seem to cover J Math the most - otherwise we'd know way less

OP here found that album accidentally many hours ago before your post it, I honestly enjoyed the album honestly.
It's too bad most Jap math rock just sounds like Toe. Toe are good but I don't need 20 more of them. Is there a Japanese version of Don Caballero?
