I've listened to plenty of early to mid 80's hardcore, I want to move on, where do I go from there? I like youth crew stuff (though I haven't heard a lot of it) and crossover thrash and some thrashcore ive heard are both cool, but I know i've got massive gaps, is there a chronology to hardcore or anything? I want to progress to the point I can listen to and enjoy most modern hardcore, I know there's lots of metalcore, but its hard for me to like it, where do I start so I can appreciate it more? Hardcore in general, where do I go after the early to mid 80s?

heard them already, loved them, i like lots of post hardcore but i guess i want what would be the "traditional" chronology of hardcore, but im starting to think that the truth is it just fragments after like 1986 and then you pick what you want instead of there only being one kind of hardcore for everyone to like
