I feel that STP gets too much of a bad rap from a lot of people. Even before Weiland died, I felt there were much worse "alternative" bands from that era, even if the albums were sometimes inconsistent or crap aside from the singles.

Haven't heard Holes but I can't believe you put Pearl Jam's over STP. Pearl Jam just played their set exactly the way they would normally except on acoustic guitars. Some songs worked better than others but overall it was pointless. The reason AIC and Nirvana's are the best is because they clearly put thought into the setlists and what songs would benefit best from being played in the unplugged atmosphere. Nirvana especially did a great job with the extra musicians, inclusion of The Meat Puppets and selecting several great covers to perform.
