>writing a song
>sounds great
>go to sleep and wake up the next day
>come back to song
>sounds like complete shit
why does this happen and how do I prevent it?
happens to most everyone. a lot of times that second judgement can be correct but it can also be incorrect.
harder to notice flaws when you're writing
remember what about it made you think it was good, and what about it you think is bad.
it's not that hard anon.
simple, just don't go to sleep

Keep writing. Think about what you don't like about the song you wrote, think about what parts are bad - avoid repeating those elements when you write your next song, and keep this cycle going.
You're song just wasn't finished doofus. What part didn't you like? Cut it out and figure another part out.

That's strange, I always got the opposite effect, usually write at night, in the morning listen to recs and they sound even better
