/mu/, listen to the first song (or the whole album) and tell me what you think. It's an incredibly underrated shoegaze/space rock album

I can't into the first half, but I absolutely love the second half.
>>74553195
first track is so much better than the rest of the album it's not even funny
Here's what I like:
The Pod
Stars
The Very Old Man
Why I Like the Robins
I'd Like Your Hair Long
How did I do?
>>74553369
I love every part of this album. It's a journey listening to it. Lots of different overtones of punk with shoegazey undertones
>>74553398
Yeah the first track really pulls you in but the rest of the album is still good imo
>>74553406
You did good dude
alright I'll give it a shot
will report back in a few minutes
>>74553195
Glad to see this album get posted a bit here lately, it's really good.
>>74553931
i liked the first song and skipped around a bit. i thought it was alright but it didnt really blow me away or anything. still enough to convince me to get it and listen to the whole thing; i've listened to other things for less
>>74553195

plebs only just finding out about HUM
actually disgusting
>>74554590
this.
hum is sick.
>>74553195
HUM's pretty fucking cool, I'd be surprised if most folks who listen to rock here haven't heard the record.
>>74553195
Actually own this album on half green half white vinyl, one of my favorites besides floral shoppe when it arrives
>>74553195
Hum is so fucking good. This is their best album imo.
Hum has been a favorite of mine since the nineties. Amazing band. Wish I could've seen them when they came through Portland a couple years ago.
>>74554590
agreed
...waiting for OP to figure out he's a pleb
Downward Is Heavenward > Electra 2000 > You'd Prefer An Astronaut
But all of them are excellent
Holy shit. Stop shilling your album here, faggot. No one cares
>>74557175
This band hasn't existed for like two decades, aside from the one-off reunion shows that happen once every ~8 years
If you're gonna ask to listen to just one song it should be Stars.

yup
also, really dig this single

I love Why I Like the Robins but can't seem to get into the rest of the album, and I say that as a Deftones fan.
Their other album is a 8/10 for me though.
>>74557583
That's the one song that anyone who's heard about Hum knows. Good track for sure, though
If You Are To Bloom is my jam

Millions have heard the song, whether they know Hum or not, as it was on some Cadillac commercial 10 year ago, as well as some NBCSN sports thing. Stars is Hum's "Smells Like Teen Spirit".
Started off with You'd Prefer an Astronaut.
Ended up liking Electra 2000 more. Iron Clad Lou, man. What a jam.
>>74559958
Iron Clad Lau may be their best track, but I still prefer Astronaut.
Astronaut > Downwards = Electra = Pupets/aphids >> Fillet Show >> Their first ep
