Why do artists hate their own songs?
>When being interviewed around the release of Dig Out Your Soul, Liam replied: "At least there's no Wonderwall on there. I can't fucking stand that fucking song. Every time I have to sing it I want to gag. Problem is, it was a big, big tune for us. You go to America and they're like: 'Are you Mr Wonderwall?' You want to chin someone."
Imagine performing the same song on every show on every tour because it’s one of your hits, or a crowd pleaser, sure you don’t have to, but it’s for the fans.
Chances are you get tired of it. Other times artists hate their work because they feel they’ve grown a lot since then

That might be it, yeah. On the other hand, though, you have Noel Gallagher, who is also basically forced to play Wonderwall at every gig, who said in an interview that no matter how much you've played a certain song, having thousands of people chanting it with you every night is always a fantastic feeling.
