Jello never sold out, yet everything about him nowadays is pure cringe. Why is this?
I didn't see Guantanamo but his tour with Reverend Horton Heat was very fucking awesome. He's better than he's ever been.

He was the least important member of the Dead Kennedys.
>>74541357
The reunion proves otherwise. Not to mention the last 30 years.
I hate Northern Californians.
>>74541327
"punk" centering on people who mostly had a relative degree of safety and social capital adopting aesthetics that might have been subversive/confrontational to some degree 3-4 decades ago but are now pretty broadly accepted in society as just another variation upon normalcy
>pure cringe
wtf are you talking about, he's the only guy from the original american hardcore scene you can still trust to put out good shit
>>74541923
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
he's old and not hip anymore
it will happen to you too :^)
>>74542251
Off! with Keith Morris is better than anything Jello has done in decades.
Bad Brains return to hardcore is underrated but its been awhile. Although still on par with Jello's schedule.
>>74542472
I actually forgot about Keith, sorry. Only heard Build a Nation, but both Guantanamo Releases are good and he released a very weird soul / r&b album which is fun as fuck.
>>74541327
theres always been a cringe element. it just took you this long to notice.
you dumb punk kids will buy anything.
>>74541327
the dead kennedys were always an embarassingly juvenile band with mediocre music
practically the green day of their time
I mean what kind of bozo quotes dr suess in his lyrics to add depth
>>74542480
Yeah Build A Nation doesn't have a ton of hardcore but there are still some blistering moments.
As I recall Jello's latest release is a new Lard song but Paul isn't on it so some might insist on calling it what it is Surgical Meth Machine. Hopefully he'll will make an album with Reverend Horton Heat. Jello and Jumbo bith tild me they want to do it. They've been playing together for a few years now.
this album is fucking epic
>>74542527
yeah nah... not cringey at all... subtle.
>>74541327
all musicians his age make questionable fashion decisions. we can't hold it against them
>michael gira with his cowboy hat
>Morrissey still dressing/acting like he's the sex symbol he once was
>everything about bono
How is he not at least bisexual? If you're straight, would you go gay for Jello? I'd take those bragging rights.
>>74542604
I'm lesbo, and I would go straight for 80s Jello.
>>74542645
Would you give him head? Even if he had diarrhea?
