This is a top 5 Swans album in my opinion. I simply can't understand why people don't like it, unless they only listen to Swans for one type of music. Otherwise it's just pretty, melancholic, orchestral post-punk with shades of dream pop. What's not to love?

I've never liked an album that Gira made with folk influences (so I can't stand Angels of Light at all by extension). I don't thing he approaches the genre in any new or meaningful way.
