>What genre does /mu/ have the worst opinion on?
>What genre is /mu/ most misinformed about?
Probably genres we never talk about like funk, reggae and disco.
>Is there any genre /mu/ is good with?
As a whole? No.
>>74516794
this
>>74516400
/mu/'s pretty good with post-hardcore, they know to remove scenecore
>>74516968
seriously this, /mu/ takes this great general understanding for granted
>>74516968
Yeah, that's true. I haven't been in emo threads in a while, but they seemed to be really good too.
>>74517684
is it alex is on fire or alexis on fire, not memeing genuinely curious.
>>74516400
Not this that's for sure!

Alexis on Fire.
Besides the general, /mu/ is extremely misinformed on classical.

Female, of course.

/mu/ knows 90's/00's indie rock fairly well, and can trace the linage of said indie rock influences back into the 70's, 80's, and ib rare cases the 60's. Everything else they suck at.
>>74518709
maybe...
Punk is garbage
>What genre does /mu/ have the worst opinion on?
for the most part, noise
>What genre is /mu/ most misinformed about?
traditional folk / regional music
>Is there any genre /mu/ is good with?
/mu/core
/mu/ is pretty bad with punk
they're okay with post-hardcore and hip hop
>>74520639
I fucking hate tripfags but I agree with this one. /mu/ has a hateboner for punk and the punk fans are REALLY ridiculous about """""REAL PUNK""""". It's like a high school thing that never ended or something. Idk
>What genre does /mu/ have the worst opinion on?
Jazz (Miles, Mingus, Coltrane, the list goes on...)
>What genre is /mu/ most misinformed about?
Everything that's not rock
>Is there any genre /mu/ is good with?
No, but if I was forced to choose something, I would go for rock.
>>74518956
>/mu/ knows 90's/00's indie rock fairly well
Not even that.
>>74520544
Acceptable answer.
>>74520639
>they're okay with hip hop
Not really. They barely listen to recent hip hop, and the best sellers at that.
>>74521175
Tripfags are your friends.
>What genre does /mu/ have the worst opinion on?
Jazz, funk, disco, anything not white suburban kid friendly
>Is there any genre /mu/ is good with?
Post-rock & shoegaze I guess?
>>74516400
>What genre does /mu/ have the worst opinion on?
jazz, folk and classical
>What genre is /mu/ most misinformed about
any electronic genre
>Is there any genre /mu/ is good with?
indie

metal
jazz
classical
country
this board is only good for knowing what the latest "indie" pop and rap albums are coming out
/mu/ is good for rock and FotM memerap/trap/mumblerap
nothing else except occasional /general/ (classical, jazz, bleep) genre posters
>>74522425
/bleep/ sucks
>>74516400
>What genre does /mu/ have the worst opinion on? What genre is /mu/ most misinformed about/
speedcore, flashcore

salsa?
>>74522520
the general yes, dance music as a whole no.
Very few people stay on this board for longer than 6 months.
Most are new, young, fresh to music outside the charts, new off the /b/oat and just discovering music and the general essentials are the first artists/albums they discover.
It makes sense that the most discussed/posted music is the limited selection from said chart.
Once people have grown past these and started their own path and journeys into music they enjoy, they leave.

/classical/ is legit one of the best places on the web to talk about classical music. Everywhere else is either reddit fedoralords who think they are >le classy gentlemen for listening to the 1812 overture, or autistic musician forums where chinese hothouse students sperg out over tiny details
>>74523593

Fuck.
I've never seen intelligent discussion on reggae on this board. Not that I fucking care about reggae, mind you.

Any genre/ sub-genre that predominantly advertises itself with anime characters/ cartoons e.g. nightcore. Otherwise grindcore, I've tried hard to wrap my head around it though I find it impossible to enjoy and now essentially write off anything that's categorized as such.

>everything that's not rock
Trust me, outside of /nbbmn/ and /metal/, /mu/ has no idea about how vast the genre is and mostly circlejerks the same 10 bands
/mu/ is way too hyped with rock and rap
/mu/ needs more breakcore
>>74525123
>/mu/ is way to hyped with shit and trash
>/mu/ needs more garbage
Why?
>>74516400
Any metal that's not hipster atmoshit
I feel like /mu/ as a whole has no idea about industrial or drone. it's rare theres any real discussion. I wish dark could get actual threads going
>>74522718
I'm looking forward to leaving this hellhole within a month then
>>74516968
>>74517649
>>74517684
Nah, /mu/ completely disregards anything late 90s/early 2000 and onward in the genre unless it has an identical sound to the older bands.
