I was in this prematurely air-conditioned supermarket and there were all these aisles. And there were these bathing caps that you could buy. They were red and yellow and blue. I wasn't tempted to buy one, but I was reminded of the fact that I had been avoiding he beach.

not understanding is kind of the point. sounds so pretentious but especially as an opera the whole idea is you fill the meaning. the music itself is just math but human touch so god. even though it's repetitive it's super tightly composed and it just massages you. i can't imagine being a performer of that music and what it must feel like. specially the singers or the organists
