pretty generic dadrock that you listen once and forget about it
Just because it seems generic now doesn't mean it was generic when it came out. It's sort of like the "Seinfeld isn't funny" phenomenon.

The Rolling Stones suck, and this is coming from a big fan of 60s/70s rock.

it was 1971
by that time there was already plenty of other bands that still sound great today
Stones just have aged like milk cause aside from their singles, their albums are garbage and filled with filler

I guess I'm a pleb because I can't fucking enjoy this album no matter how many times I listen to it. I've listened to it in full on three, almost 4 occasions and I don't understand it at all.

It took me a couple listens to like it. then on one occasion in particular the lyrics just really jived.
"And the meteorite’s just what causes the light
And the meteor’s how it’s perceived
And the meteoroid’s a bone thrown from the void
That lies quiet and offering to thee"
lines like that get me every time now

More like an "Airplane isn't funny" phenomenon. It's shit now but would have been funny at the time.
