This shit is like if someone drugged The Smiths with klonopine. It's like if Phil Collins kicked Robert Smith out of The Cure, took over as frontman and said "okay fellas, let's make it like Three Imaginary Boys, but without the vitality."

What did he mean by this?
It's really good. What I like about it is it's mostly a band record with Michael Stipe just audible enough to hear some of the beautiful melodies and harmonies he sings without actually hearing his terrible word choice and tone of voice in general.
The only song that keeps it from being a perfect record for me is ironically enough Perfect Circle.
