Everything up to Grand Champ was pretty solid, and I think his gruff-sounding vocals are what made him distinct-sounding. He's just had shitty production on his last few albums, and sounds like he's burning out.

There was one song he did were he attempted kind of a concious rap / more poetic style with more complex rhymes.

I don't remember the name of the song but that's my favourite one.

I think it's on the great depression album.
