>some of the songs you downloaded had minor corruptions causing blips or noises and you got used to them over the years
>new formats don't have those imperfections that you miss
>listen to downloaded album for years
>realize later the tracklist is out of order but it doesn't feel right listening to them in proper sequence
Speaking of that, is this album supposed to have sudden sharp noises randomly in some tracks, I can't remember which ones but it's like a really high pitched screechy 'tearing' sound.
One time while listening to a Tera Melos album for the first time I came across a part where they just repeated a 4-bar riff for like a full minute. Thought it was pretty cool and experimental for them to do it that long. After a while it faded into the background but fifteen minutes later I realized the same riff was still playing and I was wondering what the hell was going on, I didn't think realize band was that experimental.
Turns out the hard drive that I had the album on had disconnected, and my music player was just looping the last bit it cached in ram over and over again.
