I TRY TO TELL EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD.
I WANT EVERYONE IN THE UNIVERSE TO KNOW ABOUT IT!
Yet even if I do get the word out, people won't have the correct tracklisting.

/mu/ is full of scaruffi drones who are ignorant to the greatness of the flaming lips

Bought it on CD a couple of days ago. Absolutely adore that album. Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robot is good too but not as good in my opinion.
Lol i started this thread but there's already another thread about this album. I hadn't ever seen it posted here but I don't visit that often. The other thread's OP is very judgmental and weird though. This thread is better where we can just appreciate it and not look too far into it.

Scaruffi literally included TFL on his Greatest Rock Bands of all Times list

He re-posted an RYM review.
are there really people here who still haven't listened to the flaming lips?

I actually did hear it 3-4 years a go pretty often. My ex played it a lot. I never really payed attention. I was angsty and listened to post-rock, post-hardcore, and emo at the time. Funny how now I've come around on it and don't listen to that other stuff now except the post-rock.
"feeling yourself disintegrate" is the best track on this album if not the best in the entire Flaming Lips catalog.

Sounds influenced by Beatles and Zeppelin.
Just like FL were.
