pls respect bork
post about MUSIC
who is excited for her tinder album?
>>74429571
Me. Happy that it's going to be a happy album. Batabid and Ambergris March are great, so I'm glad she said she's going in that direction. Hopefully we get an announcement or something tomorrow, a week since the news.
>>74429426
>This is not the last song
>>74429571
>>74429726
What do we know about the album so far, other than that Arca is a co-producer and it's supposed to be more light hearted?
>>74429382
>my image as thumbnail
I'm honored
>>74429931
idk, but considering that Arca is a pretty dark producer, and even producing for one of Björk's darkest projects (Vulnicura), I wanna hear what he has ready for her supposed tinder album
>>74430232
What do you mean by tinder album?
>>74429931
She mentioned a couple track names and a producer in the recent dazed and confused interview
http://imgur.com/a/gMLEm
>>74430246
In her words, "This is like my Tinder album," "It's about that search (for utopia) - and about being in love. Spending time with a person you enjoy is when the dream becomes real."
>>74429931
There'll be Woodwinds, birdsong, going in a direction she went with Batabid and Ambergris March. It's about utopia and being in love.
She's filmed a video for a song called The Gate.
There's a really melodic, "straightforward" song called "Allow" but she's not sure if it'll be on the album.
Other songs called Features Creatures and Loss. Rabit co-produced Loss, has a "crushing, jackhammer rhythm"
Probably won't be any strings as she's kind of sick of them
>>74431537
Hot
Just give up. These threads aren't gonna keep lasting. It's sad I know, but it's the truth
>>74429426
This fucking movie. This fucking shit fuck fucking movie. I had never been "traumatised" by a movie, but this one did it. And a fucking musical, to top it off. Holyshit. I love/hate this movie.
>>74432459
Nah I have enough pictures to last a lifetime of threads
>>74432459
Why does the Grimes threads succeeded and these Bjork threads don't seem to have "stamina"?
>>74432756
More pics from this era pls
>>74432825
Because Björk is attractive, and there is only so many ways to phrase that. In the Grimes threads they just argue about her looks all day.
>>74432825
Grimes threads seem to have a lot of activity but really there's a lot of shit posting and arguing with haters
>>74429426
Do American prisons actually do this?
>>74432518
I had a really hard time finishing it. It's just cruelty for the sake of cruelty the entire movie. Shame Bjork's one film performance was wasted on it.
I think if these threads are ever going to go anywhere, we need to have a discussion, as a community. What should be done to improve these threads?
>>74432825
if you look at the last thread, it had 80 different posters and lasted for 3 days while kpop and grimes threads only push 50 max. it's mostly because people don't same fag as much on these
>>74432870
THIS
Mama Björk is the best
There really is a lot to talk about, both in terms of her music and her personality throughout her different "eras"
Personally, Homogenic is my favourite album from her and is also my favourite "bjork era". I think the music anticipated a lot of what was to come (kid A for example) and I think unravel is one of the best songs ever recorded. I also find her most interesting and attractive around that time. Her look (especially her hair) was for me best around this time and her personality and performances resonate with me the most. You have to remember this is all coming off the back of Ricardo's suicide and everything so I think she'd suddenly begun to take a lot of her work much more seriously and her music and performances just seem to have more meaning and weight from this point onward.
https://youtu.be/u_RSlsnbCEM
This is one of my favourite performances from that era. There's an awkwardness yet maturity to her here and her overall performance is stunning.
>>74429382
IM NO FUCKING BUDDIST
>>74435149
>>74435184
I love her hair braided and put into a bun.
>>74435374
Me too man
>>74435152
Love Jools Holland. He seems to get on great with bjork
https://youtu.be/SSEKeuPmOA8
https://youtu.be/MH9oBI735g4
She's git a great laugh
>>74435428
I also like it when her she leaves her hair mid-length, just enough to compliment her face.
youtu.be/hBBAmPPQtig
Her curls here are also very cute.
>>74435480
He's in love with her.
>>74435498
>youtu.be/hBBAmPPQtig
Love this interview. She's got a good sense of humour desu and she has good chemistry with him
>YYAAAAARDLE WHOODLE WHOOOO I HATE-AH MEN!! I WRITE ALL-AH MAH SONGS!! YOODLE YOODLE DOOOO!
>>74435565
Yeah, Jools is a good guy. He seems to connect really well with her, and genuinely enjoys her music and company. Also, dude at :54 got a pretty good seat.
>>74435591
Someone give this sir gold!
>>74429571
how is she still so cute at 51?
>>74435686
Staying healthy. You can be cute later in life too, if you do the same. ;)
>>74435701
This. Don't smoke, take cold showers, giving for regular runs...
Also adds some more fulfilment to your life.
Can we speed this up guys
I don't like Bjork but my girlfriend does and she liked the last fanfic
>>74435745
I prefer discussing her music senpai.
>>74435718
Stay healthy anons! :)
>>74435701
I though she was famous for binge drinking.
>>74436001
Bjårk upskirt where?
>ywn be einar
youtu.be/r8zio7yhUGc
is it true that grimes is better than bjork?
>>74434624
not a shame. it's a landmark in cinema. it's a shame she was snubbed two oscars. Lars von Trier is a genius
this will forever be my favorite of all time and it's undeniably one of Lars von Trier's best. Björk had a touching performance, and even haters of this film and of Lars von Trier saw the beauty in her performance, of someone who doesn't even act for a living
>>74429382
please mods do something about this cancer
>>74436890
>please mods do something about this cancer
Have you even fucking read the thread you child?
why do people underrated this?
>>74436872
It's torture porn with zero substance.
>>74437609
No. Its great movie
>>74437679
t. avant teen
>>74437609
Why do you say that? Selma obviously has other characters that care about her, like Cvalda and Jeff, so it isn't complete torture for her. There are moments of hope and light in that movie.
>>74437684
I haven't been a teen for a long time, sadly :(
>>74437684
I wish /tv/ was full of avant teens…
What is your favorite era Bjork? Personally, I favor her Vespertine era, both musically and visually, as I feel she became more romantic and womanly.
>>74437877
goth
>>74437877
Post more pics of her Vespertine era. That's my favorite of hers musically.
Man, Matthew fucked up.
>>74437609
>zero substance
how
I would honestly kill for a new Sugarcubes album. I think this album is better than most of her solo work.
>>74439862
prefer this one desu
>>74436833
yep
>>74436833
>>74440083
this is a Björk thread, you're in the wrong thread bub
>>74440204
GOOGLEY EYES
>>74439967
Life's too good is great, but i think their last album has no bad songs on it. it's a 90's classic.
her best
>>74437590
I think it's amazing desu.
>>74439763
everything in the movie exists to make selma suffer or make her more pathetic and pitiable
>>74442642
wow, please rewatch if that's all you got from the movie. Selma left Czechoslovakia and the decent life she had there to come to the United States to work some shitty manufacturing job, yet she still finds the beauty in life because she's motivated by the only things she loves in life (musicals and her son gene).
>>74429382
>>74431537
>>74435152
>>74435184
Fucking hell her jawline is amazing
>>74435480
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmpYnHOkvZs
shes cute in this one
>>74442968
Shoo chodefag
>>74440406
I like all of them, even the remix album.
>>74442797
I get that but all it seemed like to me was another reason to feel bad for her.
>>74443306
Chode
Earth intruders is such a banger
>>74441856
True
>>74443359
There's loads of great tracks on Volta. My personal fave is innocence.
>>74443331
>>74443152
do not reply to choa posters or Grimesfags. dont give them attention
this is a Björk thread
>>74443639
C H O D E
>>74443657
please just ignore this tremendous faggot so he goes away eventually
>>74441856
Hunter is indeed her best opener
>>74443920
It's not. Army of Me is much better.
>>74445030
even tho I think Homogenic is her best, I agree. If Joga was the opener it would be better though
Did anyone remember to save the fanfic from the last thread?
>>74446356
https://pastebin.com/uH3U83TP
>>74446356
nigga fuck your fanfic
https://youtu.be/fzrhxAdC5K0
i say this as probably the biggest björkfag on this board, but we should probably stick to having a /bjork/ thread once a week instead of having a dry one every couple of days that hardly manages to stay off page 10. we don't wanna become the new /grimes/ general, do we?
>>74447391
Yeah, that makes sense.
T: The second biggest björkfag on the board
>>74447391
>>74447491
I'm sorry but there's no way in hell either of you are bigger björk fags than me
t. Thom Yorke
fanfic anon will be here on friday
>>74447391
yeah I agree. plus they'll be a lot more vibrant when her new album drops
>>74437877
Homogenic for me. She seemed really mature around that time and she was most qt for me.
>>74435842
I read sometime ago that she didn't smoke or do hard drugs, I think thats the reason she looks good at 51, while other stars look shit at the same age
Just registered to Vulnicura. Probably my fave by her.. so melodic and intimate - Just beautiful. I was expecting the strings to get jarring but I feel like they add a lot. Such a wonderful album
>>74449185
Relistened not registered.
>>74437877
musically? Homogenic-Vespertine era
looks wise? Biophilia because mama Björk is the best
Can anyone link some of her best live shows? I'm in the mood to watch her for a bit.
>>74449445
Won't list all my favourites or we'll be here all day.
Vespertine Live at Royal Opera House is probably my favourite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWiSZk0z60U
Post Live at Shephards Bush: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeZoAW3VfWw
Volta Live Paris: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puwD8g7xBJ4
Live at Riverside church: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIKsRjcxT0U
>>74449616
Thanks
qts
>>74429426
LOL
If the new album disappoints me I will kill myself.
>>74450007
if you're a bjork fan so you should just do it anyways.
i mean isn't that part of the bjork fandom and all?
>>74450063
No I hate bjork
Vůndűrlôst
>>74450181
>Army of Meme
>>74450105
isnt that part of the your little fandom as well? hating someone and killing yourself seems popular in the bjork fandom, amirite?
>>74450181
I'm sure she has some mental disorder though it's probably not autism
Kek
>>74429426
just watched this movie because of this. (only watched like 10 seconds of this video though.) kinda wish i didnt now desu
>>74450535
The male version looks retarded
>>74450535
Is that Mark Wahlberg bottom right?
>>74450411
Human Behavior is pretty autistic
>>74451418
In general? Yeah you're right.
Honestly, what do Bjork fans think about Grimes?
>>74452349
Shes ok. The problem are the autistic fans
>>74452349
Fine.
>>74452349
honestly the only song i somewhat like by her is oblivion, and i've listened to all of her albums
i'm sure she's a good person, but i just don't understand the appeal of her music, let alone her appearance
>>74452506
But like Bjork, her music is arty and electronic. They're not similar but both operate in the same realm. If you enjoy songs like Army of Me or Hyperballad it should be easy to enjoy songs like Circumambient ot Devon.
>>74452757
i mean i get what you're trying to do, and i respect that, but come on now. can't you please just stay in your own threads? you don't see us trying to convince grimesposters to listen to björk, at least not in this thread. wouldn't you like to be surrounded by people who have the same interest and passion in Grimes as you?
Dream collabs?
Ik it's already happened but I want her to do another duet with Thom. I love seen it all and I just think their voices go so well together.
Also bjork and Thom on space ghost again when?
>>74453587
>Dream collabs?
Bjork & Grimes, who else?
>>74453587
>space ghost
Absolute kino coming through
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xliue_knifin-around_fun
>>74453587
Kate Bush and Bjork is my dream.
>>74453587
Bjork and Kanye desu
>>74453587
Susumu Hirasawa. There’s a bit in Verandi half way through and it sounds just like something off one of his recent albums. Their voices together would be amazing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wgwm1YDiL_0
i love bjork so much desu lads how can one woman be so perfect
>>74453587
>ywn see Bjork and Bowie collab
>>74454026
isn't there a collab out there that hasn't been released with Kanye, Björk and Drake? or was the completely fake
