What's /mu/'s thoughts on this album?
Giving it a listen right now and I never see it discussed on here.

I think it's fantastic. It's been one of my most listened to albums this summer.
I like Reckoning a little better, just because the vocals are clearer. Chronic Town might be the best EP of all time though.
Probably the best album of the 80s, every song is rich with little details and some of the greatest songwriting of its time
TAKE A TURN
I love it

Reckoning I never really get. There's stuff on there like So.Central Rain/Camera/Time after Time which the fanbase loves and just sounds like any old band. Murmur is mysterious and rewarding.

REM are super unfashionable, barely in the rock canon anymore

incredible album. barely beats out lifes rich pageant as my favorite of theirs. they could do no wrong 1982-1986
Great album. Also if my life was a movie it would be the OST for a shitty autumn I had. I remember listening to it in the dawn while finishing half a pack of cigs.
I dont smoke anymore. I dont listen to REM anymore. I dont even live in that town. Time is fast

If you could hear the vocals you'd be thinking about how meaningless they mostly are. Even when the song's about something there's just be a pile of random non sequiters
