I didn't stop listening on purpose, but I think that after some time, the genre feels exhausted. 90% of music from the same genre sound the same, which might be great if you like the genre, but it can start boring you after some time.
Also, I grew to distance myself from loud and harsh music in general.

I wonder if it's like that with every genre, or is metal really is for young people
