Catherine Wheel, hands down
This is an underrated album in my opinion, very weird contrast of near-freeform soundscapes with robotic drum machines. People shit on it because they expect a straight-up shoegaze rock album, but the key is to look at it as a drone-gaze album that happens to have blast beats

As for the rest, I'm pretty sure there's no metadata attached saying who the "owner" is. And even if there was, anything of the obscure releases you're uploading as a /shugazi/ man aren't going to be worth the record industry's time and money to police anyway.

proof that title fight going shoegaze has made them influential
>>74449860
but i also assumed they were from the 90s the entire time I was listening to them, that cover really looks ripped out of time
>>74449860

Not yet, I wanna give it some time before trying to get into any of the new trackers. Partially because I'm paranoid, but also because I want to see which one arises as the true successor, if any.

The one thing I highly recommend people check out from this list is Taffy- Nyctophilia. It is a Japgaze group that I found a while back that I loved from the first moment I heard of them. The rest of their work is great as well, though Nyctophilia is the most polished of their work by far.

Anyone listened to this? The Veldt was a 90's shoegaze band led by two black twins. It mixes soul/hip-hopish beats well with shoegaze - almost similar to Bowery Electric. This album is a bit needlessly long, lots of filler tracks. Tracks like Soul in a Jar and I Couldn't Care Less certainly shine through, however.

Yeah,
Haven't listened to their comeback album yet though
I've been putting it off for super long, but I'm not really a huge fan of that rock/rnb hybrid sound
