Pretty true. Handling the records and turntable is fun, and the art is nice and substantial, but if you're here to listen to music, it's just a big waste of money.

I personally just use my computer into a nice audio interface, which I plug my headphones into. A DAC into a headphone amp is all you need. I don't use speakers at the moment, but will someday.
