It's just 2spooky for it's own good I felt, it didn't really say anything and it wasn't that musically interesting. I'm willing to have my mind changed, though - I really like and am intrigued by Gas as a musician and to be fair I only heard Zauberberg once.

Gas is an exceptionally unique artist, I've also yet to find someone who incorporates such lush textures and samples that Wolfgang does into the framework of Ambient Techno.
I wouldn't hold your breath for finding an artist like him that anchors these elements with a 4/4 drumbeat, but maybe Tim Hecker or Stars of the Lid would scratch your itch if you want more textured ambient.

Yeah I'm more into the textures honestly than the drumbeat, first three tracks on Pop are probably my favorites need to listen to Tim Hecker, haven't heard of Stars of the Lid but I'll check them out too - thanks

First time i listened to Zauberberg i took a walk in a forest i've never been to before. It was just before night time and i smoked weed on my walk. I had no idea the album was that creepy, but it blew my mind how the music got scarier as I got further into the forest while simultaneously trying to find the fastest way out as i wanted to be back before it got completely dark. Ended up on a graveyard where the album then reached its climax. It's a good atmospherical album.
