Hi, it's Jason Pierce from Spiritualized.
Every song I write is about heroin.

Its so boring
>>74370376
did deeper, friend
>>74370345
It was great the first few times but now it's just too boring. There isn't much going on in any of his music.
>>74370427
you may be right, I'll listen to it now and report back
>>74370450
I still enjoy Smiles and 200 Bars but a whole album of it is too much.
liking it so far
I forgot how good Shine a Light was.

don't even @ me about recurring, don't wanna hear it
Has anyone noticed how all of the Spacemen 3 related bands (Spiritualized, Sonic Boom, Spectrum, J. Spaceman) appear right next to each other in alphabetical order? Shopping at the record store is really easy if you're an S3 fan because all of your favorite artists will be on the same shelf
Was this intentional?

just finished. nah its great. a bit samey and undeniably simple musically, but it works

Jason Pierce is the master of creating transcendence from extremely simple songwriting
I'm a huge S3/Spiritualized fan, and I'll admit almost all his songs are incredibly simple
But his vocal melodies, penchant for layered arrangements, and ear for textures really draw greatness out of those two or three chords
