Many of us shut our noses and voted for Hillary Clinton because a) we were terrified at the prospect of a Russian operative in the White House; and b) it is about time that the USA has a female president. She deserves little credit for either. Only 54% of the eligible voters went to vote, and of these she got about 52%, which means about 26% of eligible voters voted for her: hardly a plebiscite.
