I think I was in a library typing something. I liked Linkin Park when I was 11, but I remember my entire reaction was just "shit, now everybody's going to whine about what a tragedy this is."

On vacation in a boardwalk arcade with my then girlfriend. I realized they were playing Linkin Park over the speakers, turned around and saw she was singing along to Leave Out All The Rest. She only knew it from Twilight. It was one of those moments where you fall briefly in love with someone. She was beautiful. Then a few more Linkin Park hits were played. I remember wondering "What's with all the Linkin Park?" Walk back to the hotel, get into the room, go online, read that Chester hung himself. Bummed me out for the rest of our vacation. We broke up shortly after that.
