why are all the prog of the last thirty years so awful but then in the 70s you had ten ace groups.
there was a lot of communication and interest in the development of the music in the period and a lot of dialogue between the groups and a good amount of drugs floating around helping them spot the new territory to break into
now you've got a bunch of mercs trading second hand licks and popping pharms to zombify the shame away
Proggers in the 70s knew how to balance flashy playing with good songwriting.
