How do you discover more global music? World music, ethnic music, folk music, whatever people wanna call it
here are some ideas for finding stuff
avoid google
study a search engine for an hour and half with your selected genre
its alot of annoying clicking, but i think you will find what you want
oh and to clarify you want to do something like
"world music blogs" etc
i know everything is a pain to click through and it gets really annoying after a while but i believe it is the best way.

Going off of this guy, the easiest (and I mean DIRT EASY) thing to do is to look for "[insert country here] music blogs." Google will net you good stuff but look back in the archives.
Alternatively, there's enough simply on Wikipedia to allow you to get a feel for what a specific country liked through the years. By using Spotify, you can see related artists in that same region. Looking up playlists with said artists will give you access to foreign accounts. Look at those accounts to find more interesting finds from your preferred country.
And, if you just want some quick essentials that will never fail you, look at this chart.
