Does anyone else put their headphones in the fridge for a couple of hours before using them? I love the way they feel on my ears after they've been chilled for a while.

I'd love to call you autistic but my ears do get very hot in headphones
nigga what?

People cool them all the time so it doesn't make your ears get so warm so fast.
>Radiohead - Putting Headphones in the Fridge
I usually apply listening oils in my ear canal before listening to my music for that extra warmth and sensitivity, but sometimes the vibrations get too much and it all heats up after an hour, so I might try chilled headphones to counterbalance that.

I tried this but I noticed that the sound of the headphones changed as they warmed up, to a very noticeable degree. Ever since then I sit on my headphones for about 5 minutes prior to listening to music, to get them up to operating temperature faster so that the speakers are working at their optimum from the get-go. I think the ferquency response really improved as a result, plus it sort of feels good on my butt.

This is the problem right here. I'm honestly surprised that no manufacturer has added some kind of cooling coil to the ear cups to make them comfortable for long periods of time
Anyone else rub skin-care products on their earbuds before putting them in?

My best bet is that cooling is usually performed by venting out heat from an environment, so installing a cooling component in sound-sensitive equipment might proove ufavorable, or at least very expensive.

maybe a small water cooling solution might work

>Not liquid cooling your headphones with nitrogen.
I thought you guys enjoyed listening to music here...
