Well if you like it... I wish Andy would've put Someone to Talk To on Synchronicity, instead. The "fucked it up" verse doomed it.

Can we make this a Police thread? Who's your favorite member after Stew? Everybody likes Stew best. Favorite song? Album? I'll start
Sting, but barely.
Bring on the Night
Zenyatta Mondatta

I like Sting more than Stew, if only because he's a phenomenal musician in his own right (and was still utterly god-tier live when I saw him last year) his bass-driven song structures are a huge part of the classic Police sound.
Favorite song(s)
Synchronicity from King of Pain through to Tea in The Sahara.
Walking on The Moon
The Police's management of the "space" of in their sound was on a level unlike any major band before or since. The part of me that gets autistic over god-tier production gets tingly on those songs. Like musical umami, their mastry of soundspace was.
Reggata de Blanc will always be my sentimental favorite, though Synchronicity or Zenyatta are objectively their best.

what are some other good "soundspace mastery' bands
That song is creepy as fuck. Outlandos d'Amour is my favorite, even though Roxanne gets overplayed I still love it.

Steely Dan, particularly The Royal Scam and Aja, and anything by Quincy Jones. I'd also argue that the Rogers/Edwards disco albums are also hugely underrated in that vein.
Really though, the Police are in a class of their own.

It was the british b side for wrapped around your finger. The Police weren't all that great at b-sides but this one works. They were fantastic album makers, though. We're discussing them on >>74269436
