How do I find new music that I will like? I hate searching the internet for music, usually I just go to rym and go to like page 500-1000 of the "top albums of all time" list and pick a random one.

If you already know what you like, check similar artists to who you like (last.fm), check genre-specific charts in rym and look at the charts threads or rym profiles to find people with similar taste to yours. I'm assuming you know what you like, if you don't, then listen to the /mu/ essential charts to figure out what is your taste instead of wasting your time with the all-time list. Chances are you're listening to some mediocre shit.
