what if we had "let's hear's", in the same vein as let's play's? a person / group of people gather around a record player or cd player and provide real time commentary while the record spins. i see some potential in this video genre.

i would do this / have thought about it but it will be immediately flagged for copyright infringement

;damn, didn't think about that. how do let's players get around that barrier?
This sounds more like a reaction video than a let's play. Also, why not just watch an album review? Are you really that interested in watching some dude overreact to a sick riff, bar, verse, etc.?

Mute the player audio output and have the people at home listen on their own i guess
This would be terrible.
Take a camera and record yourself sitting next to a record player listening to it. Then listen to the audio.
The audio is gonna be awful.

Usually because watching a video game isn't the same as playing it, while listening to an entire album as people listening to it is effectively the same. So vidya companies don't worry as much about it because at that point it is free advertising.

At least with video games, some part of it is spontaneous (you can find hidden levels, you can miss out on items, you can experience glitches and bugs). With music, you'll hear the exact same thing every time you listen to a particular song.
