They are great. I think it's a good combination because Mike's flow is easy to follow, but still very aggressive, making him the perfect partner to El-P whose flows are a lot more cryptic both in his delivery style and rhythm. Even though I wish El-P's production was as sophisticated as the music he made solo, I do like how it kinda reminds me of older El-P stuff in that the production's generally kinda sparse but with many little subtleties. Their set-up is very much hip hop for hip hop fans though as there's nothing like Kanye's more pop music style approach or Kendrick's concept albums with mainstream production backing them, so I can see why many people who don't really listen to a lot of hip hop don't like them.

I like them but I think their schtick is getting a bit old at this point. If the group continues they need to switch the production around at least. Unfortunately El-P is probably too up his own ass to do that
