Is this sennheiser 650 (massdrop) worth it? It ships in december which seems a bit ridic to me. I don't even know if its worth waiting ~5 months to save 50 bucks.

My 7 year old M50s swivel too far on the left side now and I'm looking to upgrade. I could fix my m50s, but its 40 bucks to have audiotechnica do it (or I could try to DIY it)

I'm in a pickle because theres so many conflicting reviews about needing/not needing an amp, the sound being muddy, etc etc and I'm rankly overwhelmed. I listen to music at home and play some games
