after la chambre it went to shit. the decline was even faster after anna got to be more active on fb. inverted womb and sarabande still remain as the best era. for some reason i also like the choir element on les fleurs

I agree with you actually, although I haven't been following closely (didn't know Anna was on FB, that just seems wrong).
I remember people complaining about La Chambre's electronic sound as sopor "selling out"; I also remember around this time, Sopor started getting an actual marketing team online, and they started using phrases like "from the best gothic darkwave artist!" and such... which seemed weird, almost like a parody.
That said, I ended up loving La Chambre, it's one of my favorite albums from Sopor, even though the music is more "poppy", or more accessible than older albums.
I still liked the rest of the albums though (Flowers in Formaldehyde was really good), but as far as modern Sopor goes, I think la Chambre was the best, both musically and lyrically.
Sarabande 1 and 2 are probably the best works for me.
Inverted Womb, Todeswunsch, The Inexperienced Spiral Traveller, Voyager are all also favorites.
Les Fleurs du Mal is a weird one, definitely delved further into poppish territory (or as "pop" as SA can be), and has more humor than any other SA album (Some Men Are like Chocolate cracks me up every time), and I agree about the choir elements ("c'mon boys!!")
