Did you know John Lennon named his band The BEATles because he beat his wife constantly and thought it was a funny joke.
Needless to say, Paul, George and Ringo weren't amused but didn't challenge him because John came off as passive aggressive and threatened to quit and beat their wives everytime some said something negative about the name or his domestic abuse issues.
That's not true. "The Beatals" was suggested by Stuart Sutcliffe as a tribute to Buddy Holly.
