people on this board will automatically rank artists higher if they're poor/mentally unstable in some way

im not schizophrenic or manic depressive but i can relate to his lyrics in the sense that theyre simple, talk directly about dealing with emotions, instability and family issues

sometimes i remember his lyrics from songs such as Dont Let the Sun Go Down on your Greviances, or No More Pushing Joe Around when im upset because if a guy that fucked in the head can stay positive then i should be able to, too

i dont listen to him regularly at all though, the songs at least from his early days sound too similar to each other in my opinion
