He avoids uploading any song sample at all to avoid any copyright issues. I mean, it's not like you can't google the songs and listen to them. The idea behind Playlist Junkie is that he gives you a playlist for you to listen to later.

I haven't seen other videos similar to Playlist Junkie.
Sure, he talks about bands' history and trivia a lot, but the main object of the series is to make an original playlist, inspired by how he would often make up original albums when recording cassette tapes, with his own track order, etc.
