Greetings, mu. I was just asking myself:" Are there good pop-punk albums and what albums are considered staples of genre?" Kindly ask you to provide me with this info. Pic unrelated. sort of.
Bump 1/2
I really think Dookie is a great album.

You mean pic related, right? Pop punk is a trash genre but Dookie is probably the best clump in the shit heap.
You'd probably like Descendents, Bad Religion, Sunny Day Real Estate

This and American Idiot are still unironically great (well, at least Kerplunk is.)

Paramore
Anything Green Day did until 2004 is solid. Don't go past that. I guess Bad Religion had some good ones as well but I'd say the Descendents are the best of the genre as far as I know.

Hey good job Anon! I think that's why the OP said "pop punk". Way to go go brother!
Screeching Weasel and The Lillingtons are good
American Idiot and Dookie are patriciancore, dont let /mu/ plebs sway you. they're both amazing albums

They're great albums to relate your teenage angst to, yes. Enjoying them as anything more than "ooh I remember when I was 14 the whole world seemed horrible I listened to Jesus of Suburbia on a loop 24 times" is pretty bad and people will laugh at you if you still take them seriously.
