Audiosurf is amazing, especially high.
Sadly, many songs are very boring to play simply due to their structure and how the game reacts to it.
What are your favourite albums that are good to play through?
If you don't play the game: what's your favourite game with a high tempo/intensity?
honestly i consider audiosurf a letdown, both from the perspective of pure gameplay mechanics (wtf is this block grid grouping shit even for) and in terms of translating the music into a track (although that wasn't totally unsuccessful it's hardly consistent). idk that's just me tho sorry for debbie downing on your thread

The game could be much better, yes. I haven't tried Audiosurf 2 but it didn't seem to improve upon anything anyway.
Regardless, it's pretty great for me to make sure I focus on the music. It helps me appreciate some genres that I normally wouldn't care about.
There are sadly very few decent music-related games out there.
Frances the Mute is a pretty good album to play. Also if you Have Audiosurf 2 try the Retrowave skin.
I still play Audiosurf 2 occasionally to kill time. They actually improved the level generation algorithm a lot in 2 and it seems more forgiving to quietly mastered music now.
Rushup Edge is pretty fun to play through.
Bumping in case anyone else wants to contribute. Checking out the suggestions so far
