I can't imagine what is going through Mike's head right now. "Where did it all go wrong? What signs did I miss? How could he leave the band like this? Were we not important enough? Was I not important enough? Why didn't he tell me anything?"

This isn't some bullshit where all the significant band members from the original albums have left by this point; they've been together this whole time. I'd say the death of Chester must feel like the death of the band itself and a huge chapter of their life. The thing that's been running through my head this whole time is "Okay, but was Cornell really that important?"

I think it was just the tipping point, that's all. Chester had an awful background before joining the band and has always talked about depression and even suicidal thoughts. Not to mention there was alcohol in his room when he's talked about trying to be sober for years. Who knows how long he was thinking about killing himself, it could've even been an impulsive thing after drinking on Cornell's birthday and bottling everything else up his whole life, then decided enough was enough.

I don't know if LP can continue without Chester. Though, I've heard that there are already auditions being held for a new lead vocalist. I don't think it's a good idea, though.
