Can anyone play this aloud for me?
I cannot for the life of me understand it. It's supposedly played on a guitar

That's notation for percussion though.

Why so?
Noone cares for your nigger music
It's muted strings. That's what the x notation implies.
You play the lower quarter notes with your thumb and the high notes with your other fingers.
The curves are ties which imply that rather than two different notes, it's one note played for the total duration of each individual note. It's since the notes are the exact same (in this case it's tied D notes.) So for example the first and second tie is actually an eighth note essentially in duration because it's two sixteenth notes tied together. The third tie is a bit tricky for newer players since it ties a sixteenth and an eighth.
There's no determined tempo here, so the duration meant for each note can't be known. But, what needs to be consistent is that whatever the bottom note's (the quarter note) length is, the eighth (eg. that first one on the top) needs to be half its length and the sixteenth that's like the eight but with two little lines on top needs to be half of the eighth's length.

All I did was explain in what are actually pretty simple theory terms. Here, start with this if you're completely unfamiliar.

Most of what I mentioned is in The Basics section. I would recommend learning at least The Basics, Rhythm And Meter, and the first two sections of Scales And Key Signatures sections. You don't NEED to learn this stuff, but it definitely helps in better documenting/understanding certain aspects of music. Take your time with it, don't rush through it.
