i don't know if i grew out of their music or their recent stuff is pretty mediocre, i didn't like amsp and their "new" bsides in that ok computer remaster sounds so empty

They synthesized styles of music in the context of rock music at large suffering from the success of grunge/post grunge, advancing the scope and quality of rock music while remaining popular and culturally relevant, much like the Beatles did in the 60s. As well, the release method they used for Kid A was pretty ahead of its time (they basically leaked it online for free; hello thing Deaf Grapes did a decade later that people thought was cool).
