Yerself Is Steam and Boces are my favorite MR releases too, but the Lips were just prolific enough with their rough noise pop stuff to sway me, it's not like the lips were playing it safe those days anyway

I prefer the soft bulletin where not only were they forced to change their sound, but did it in the only way they knew how (partly in thanks to mercury rev) but were also in absolute fucking turmoil and had basically no chance of success, but their last ditch attempt actually worked
